Easiest way to close out defects

As passive fire works are put under further scrutiny in response to tightening legislation and more legal cases, it is apparent that now more than ever, we need documentation to back up works.

Our clients who are passive fire professionals have ample first-hand experience of all the ways that closing out a job where defects needed to be rectified can be a challenge, particularly keeping track of all progress and documentation, the loss of photos ect.

Which is why both our team and our clients, have had significant improvements after employing the use of the penetration register app when undertaking inspections.

An app that allows all defects to be recorded on one platform, accessible by all relevant team members to update as corrections are made.

Whilst on site, each defect is allocated a number, a photo taken, allocated to party responsible, the details and compliance status filled out and notes of what needs to be done to correct the defect can be made. After which the builder and contractor can be sent reports of the defective or incomplete works

By issuing the report at the end of each stage, the builder and contractor are made aware in a timely manner of what needs to be fixed, as well as having a photo and number to refer to when locating them on site.

Before and after photos recorded within the app also show how works looked from previous inspection to current – making sure that all works have been completed. The report can then be sent to relevant parties at the touch of a button.
